What were you doing prior to entering the seminary? Prior to entering I worked for 15 years at Lee Rain, Inc. in Vineland as a customer relationship manager. We help farmers find solutions to their irrigation necessities. I drove from farm to farm to see how our company could help them.
What influenced your decision to enter the seminary? I have been thinking about the priesthood for a good amount of time. I have had many influences, the most important of which have been the pastors at my parish. The two most important are Fr. Paul Onufer and more recently, Fr. Peter Saporito. I had always felt that my life would not be right without giving the seminary a real try to see if that was what God wanted me to do.
Advice to other young men considering the priesthood: I would tell other young men who feel they may have a vocation to spend a lot of time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. They should also find a spiritual director who they trust and have a serious talk and be open about what is in their hearts and minds. They should take the call they have seriously because it does not come from them, but is planted in their hearts by God.
