What were you doing prior to entering the seminary? Before seminary I was in High School at Williamstown High School. I worked a few part time jobs like Bounce U., Pep-boys Auto, Auto Pros Inc., and Champion Cleaning.
What influenced your decision to enter the seminary? A big influence was my Pastor Fr. Mazz who was my spiritual director and spiritual Father who helped me to discern this decision every step of the way. Another big influence was my parish’s youth group and all the work I did and guidance I received from everyone there.
Short explanation of life in the seminary: Life in seminary is great! We have such a great community of guys here who become your brothers and treat and care for you as brothers. We are all there to help each other out whether it be in academics or helping someone grow in an area that needs growth and always in a loving way. We always make time to get together and go to the gym or playing basketball and other sports on our free time. There is nothing like praying in community with the brothers at seminary, it truly feels like a family.
Advice to other young men considering the priesthood: My advice I would give to anyone discerning a priestly vocation is to give your prayer about discerning and your whole self to God. Take discerning one day at a time and do not try to rush things or force things. Pray for peace and courage in your discernment and when you feel that peace that is when you should really consider the seminary.
