I was always trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I got older. When I met the priest at my parish in Williamstown, he explained to me what a priest does. Through these discussions with him, I eventually felt the desire to be a priest. But, when I thought about my decision more I realized that in a way my whole life was preparing me for this vocation.
The seminary is great; there are many opportunities to grow closer with our lord. The day starts off with Morning Prayer, meditation, and mass. There is also spiritual direction and confession with your spiritual director. My prayer life gets stronger every day because I’m forming a stronger relationship with God. I really like prayer and definitely have more growing to do.
A sacrament I like is confession. It rekindles our friendship with Christ when it was separated because of our sin. The book that will help with someone’s discernment is the book “discerning your vocation.” By reading this short book, it helps you make the decision whether or not you should enter the seminary.
