Change/Transition

2016-10-11-peterEvery person in their lifetime goes through many changes and transitions, from one stage of life to another. We journey from grade school to middle school and then to high school, meeting new friends and developing deeper relationships along the way. The more we mature, the more our friendships and the relationships we have with our family members grow. We do not talk the same we did with our families 5 or even 10 years ago! Then we move to college or to the working world, with a whole new realm of freedom and responsibilities. Our “moving up the ladder” means we can take on more work and more important duties—all while adjusting to the situations that we are in.

As the Prophet Jeremiah wrote: “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). God knows your struggles but even more your strengths. If He has called you, it is because you are capable due to the unyielding power of God’s tremendous grace. Don’t let anything get in the way of you pursuing God’s wonderful call to discern the priesthood! Let Him love you more than
