This Saturday, May 9, I will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Diaconate. It’s hard to believe that the day is actually here. When I entered St. Andrew’s College Seminary in August of 2007 I thought that this day was a million years away. Now, just days away from my ordination, it’s hard to believe that eight years after entering seminary that it’s actually happening. This has been an amazing journey, and there’s still one more year, but the memories, friendships, struggles, and joys make it seem like it was just yesterday that it all began. I’ve seen men come and go throughout my time in seminary, and that’s all part of the discernment process and you can see how the Holy Spirit works throughout the process. All in all, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Please pray for me as I approach diaconate ordination and please continue to pray for me, my brother seminarians, and all those men who are discerning their call to the priesthood. Your prayers truly do make a difference and I am forever grateful.
